Gowanbank Parent Council

What We Do

As a parent council we are committed to ensuring that we are able to represent the views of our parents and carers. We will do this by ensuring that we engage regularly with our parents. We believe that the views of our parents and carers are of the upmost importance and can real difference to our children’s education, that’s why we as your parent council committed to advocating and representing our parents’ views and voices at all levels Head Teacher, education authority and HMIE.

Gowanbank Parent Council understand that education is one of the most powerful things in life. It allows everyone to find the meaning behind everything and helps improve lives our lives in massive way – especially the lives of our children and young people whom we love, cherish and protect amongst all things.

Education gives us an understanding of the world around us and offers us an opportunity to use that knowledge wisely. Irrespective of race, creed, and gender, education makes it possible for every person to stand out as equal with all the other persons from different walks of life.

We at Gowanbank Parent Council intend to use the power of “education as our platform without barriers to improve lives in a phenomenal way for our children, parents, carers and wider community.”
